After
creating waves in places like Dubai, Singapore, London, Mauritius and Macao,
the Zee Cine Awards is making its way back to India, and will celebrate 100
years of Indian cinema.
The
Jab Tak Hai Jaan actor will pay tribute to legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra
through a performance at the 13th Zee Cine Awards to be held in Mumbai.“I will
pay tribute to Yashji by dancing with the leading ladies of his films.
Shah
Rukh Khan and Yash Chopra have shared a long and glittering friendship, though
the latter quite literally made the star that SRK is today, his sad demise is
still fresh in the memory of his fans and colleagues.
Yash
Chopra passed away on October 21, 2012. Shahrukh shared a very close
relationship with the filmmaker and he was like family to him. They worked
together in films like Darr, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Veer-Zara and most recently Jab
Tak Hai Jaan, which was Yash Chopra‘s last directorial venture.
The
13th Zee Cine Awards ceremony will be held on Jan 6 and will be aired on Jan 20
on Zee TV. The awards started in 1998 and were held in Mumbai until 2004, when
it shifted to international shores.
