Hrithik, Katrina's stint in Kashmir

Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif are all set to head for Kashmir. In what is being billed as the longest shooting stint in the Valley for a Bollywood film in over 12 years.

The two superstars will shoot for the new film, which is Siddharth Anand's official remake of the Hollywood blockbuster Knight And Day, over a nearly 50-day schedule.

Unconfirmed reports suggest Anand has decided to name his remake as Bang Bang. The cast and crew will start the first schedule of the film on Valentine's Day.

The last big film to have been shot over an extended period in Kashmir was Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Mission Kashmir that incidentally also starred Hrithik.

Coincidentally, Katrina was part of the latest biggie to film portions in the Valley- Yash Chopra's Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Chopra's unit shot in the Valley for around 12 days.

Other recent films to have been shot in Kashmir include Shoojit Sircar's Yahaan and Rahul Dholakia's Lamhaa but these films specifically dealt with the subject of terrorism in the Valley.

In the Bollywood remake of Knight And Day, Hrithik and Katrina will be reprising the roles of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz from James Mangold's original action comedy, a worldwide hit in 2010 that went onto earn over $261 million (Rs.1,437 crore) at the global box-office.
